KL Series Two-Platen Machine

Patented Italtech clamping system. KL Series is a fourth-generation two-platen machine range covering 130 to 8000 t. Designed to optimise the number of components and accessibility to reduce spare part costs and labour time. The two-platen layout reduces machine footprint while maintaining structural rigidity and mold access.

Mechanical clamping eliminates wear components from the moving platen and keeps the working area clean.

Self-lubricating clamping unit, ensuring high reliability over time.

Synchronised locking system on toothed tie-bars, for uniform force distribution and consistent platen parallelism.

Cantilever tie-bars, for wide and easy mold access.

Modular, bolt-on locking pistons — not integrated into the structure — to simplify maintenance and reduce machine downtime.

No bushings or sliding pads on the tie-bars, for wear-free operation.

Wide daylight opening, ideal for large molds.

Removable tank, to facilitate extraordinary maintenance operations.

Constant platen parallelism throughout the entire molding cycle, ensuring precision and uniform clamping.

Mechanical system

Patented Italtech system removes the hydraulic circuit from the moving platen. Locking by jaws and blocks on the fixed platen. Fully linear no rotating components.
